| it all looks to me like typical Japanese approach to service: if it can't be perfect, there will be no service at all, they'll avoid you at all costs. especially if it's online and you are a foreigner and they have to speak another language to you. |

| Not sure if any mods will even see this, but just wanted to say that I feel bad when reading your apologies and messages of disappointment.. this must have been a stressful time for you! I have no idea what actually went down on the inside, but from the outside I have to say it just looked like MAL had to do some serious work to make sure it became / stayed safe, and I feel like that's the sort of thing that has to happen sometimes. It took a long time, yes, but with such a community driven site like MAL, I'm sure everyone fought hard to get the site back up. I, for one, really appreciate that, and I'm just glad MAL is (almost) back. I've missed the community, the forums and the club challenges, the recommendations and so much more! Thanks for reminding me of how much I appreciate this site, and thanks for bringing it back. All moderators: keep up the awesome work. I'm sure I'm just one of many users who thinks your effort is worth a lot. C (*ﾟｰﾟ) |

| it's been over 2 years since i used MAL - i decided to remake my account here just the other week and wasn't aware at the time of the site being down - but even though i haven't had to wait as long for this as most of the other people here i'm still very grateful to staff for working so hard to make MAL safe again. ☆ thank you guys! i'm looking forward to getting back on MAL for real! |

| Sure, I'm just as disappointed as everyone, but I'm just glad the forums are back. Reddit discussion threads, while equally insightful, tend to have a different feel than the MAL discussions. Now to wait for the search and clubs to come back... |
